Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery
March 19, 1929 - November 20, 2021. Ann was the daughter of Melville G. Robertson and Anna Mae Jacobs Robertson. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky and grew up in North Vernon, Indiana. She was a member of the 1947 North Vernon High School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Earl Kingston, Jr.; her brothers Charles and James Robertson and her sisters, Mary Dryden and Martha Carlock. She is survived by her daughters, Patty and Bonnie Kingston; her son, Bud Kingston and many nieces and nephews.
Ann was an avid reader and published poet. Over a long life, she served twenty plus years as a member of the Community Hospital East Volunteer Auxiliary; spent several years as a Cub Scout Den Mother and in the early 1960's wrote a neighborhood newspaper column. In her middle years, she took up jogging and found great reward from participation in numerous organized runs. An especially treasured experience was a trip to China in 1987. While visiting, she participated in a 10k run in the city of Yantai. She loved her life, her family and friends, and appreciated all who shared their company, laughter, and encouragement with her through the years.
Ann will be greatly missed by those who loved her; but she will be remembered with happiness and gratitude. A private memorial ceremony will be held for immediate family only. Final arrangements will be handled by Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery. Ecclesiastes 9:11...The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the men of understanding, nor glory to favor men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all.
