Elizabeth Ballard (Coleman) passed peacefully on May 29, 2019 with her daughter by her side. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Daniel Ballard on March 24, 1940.
They were married for 70 years until his transition into eternity. To this union two children were born. Willie Dan Ballard Sr., and Rosie Lee Ballard- Bibbs.
Mrs. Ballard was born in Vicksburg, MS. She was the daughter of John Coleman and Rosie Lee Brown- Coleman. Mrs. Ballard was a homemaker who enjoyed fishing and kept a full garden. She grew everything from onions to watermelons. She will be remembered for her garden and gentle personality.
Mrs. Ballard was a woman of very few words, she would respond or maybe she would not. That would just depend. She was the oldest member of and belonged to Church of Christ Holiness., USA since the late 1940's. Mrs. Ballard is survived by her daughter Rosie L. Bibbs, 8 grandchildren, and a host of great and great- great grandchildren (too many to list.) She was predeceased by her parents, husband, son and siblings.
