DR. JAMES J WILSON, 50 was born in St. Louis City, Missouri. Dr. Wilson transitioned from this life to eternity with the Lord on Monday, February 24, 2020. James graduated from Lew Wallace High School class of 1994 where he also was en-listed in the National Guard. He enlisted in the United States Army and served for 4 years.
Dr. Wilson previously attended Burton Temple CME Church. His hobbies were being a self-proclaimed expert tambourine musician, vacationing with family, and spending time at home with family. He was humble, devoted, loving, funny, kind, and organized.
He attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS where he majored in engineering. He pledged and was a member Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc, Beta 1994. He returned to the Midwest and worked in social services where he realized his passion for helping young men that experienced trauma. He changed his major to Psychology and graduated with a BA in Psychology in 1999. He attended The University of Phoenix, earning a Masters in Psychology and earned his Doctorate in Psychology, he graduated magna cum laude from California Southern University in 2017.
Dr. Wilson worked in social services for over 20 years and accomplished his goal of opening Wilson Services LLC, Men-tal Health and Social Services in 2011 where he and his wife Dr. Ina Wilson shared ownership. He was proceeded in death by his father James J Wilson III and brother Michael James Wilson. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 24 years Ina, son Jalen, daughter Chrissy (Jason, Sr); grand-son Jason Jr; mother Belva Smith; grandmother Magnolia Johnson; sister Theresa Wilson; brother Kevin Wilson (Yolanda); brother in Christ Larry Hicks (Mashonda) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other close family and friends.
