To the family,

Sending my condolences to you all. Your mom was a wonderful mother, and she will be missed.  Im praying that God's comfort will strengthen you as you lay her body to rest. And also  for the days ahead as you go through the different stages of grief you call on Jesus to guide you through.

Sis Dorothy has been around St Luke as long as I can remember!!! When Sis Dorothy lived in Cousin Troy's house on Guilford,  I was Blessed to sell chicken dinners with her for the Choir!!! What a time!!! I was about 12 & she took me under her wings. Fried chicken, Mac & cheese, potato salad,,etc. And...she let me make the lemon cake. Oh the talking that went on!!! No matter where or when I saw her, she remembered me!!! At St Lukeshe was always in the kitchen.  She always made her way over to our table.  I was so looking forward to another refresher course at her table!!! I will miss her so much!!! While she will be remembered for many things, including her cooking. We must also remember Sis Dorothy was also a faithful servant & member of St Luke. She never minded serving God's people. I think God saw her & said "Servant...well done".  Something we all hope to hear one day. Until that day. Rest in Peace. Well  Done Sis Dorothy 

Dorothy Grigsby  from your sister Liz 

I believe my sister Dorothy is no longer in pain, I believe the Lord knew Dorothy was in pain and called her name, I believe Dorothy is with the Lord and mom and dad and our two brothers in heaven, I believe Dorothy is cooking those good fish dinners, macaroni and cheese, greens, cabbage, and good old caramel cake and peach cobbler just to name a few. I believe Dorothy is with the Lord because she loved the Lord, and her family. Dorothy worked very hard in church and was a very faithful member. I believe Dorothy is happy and at peace because she loved the Lord and her family and I believe if we love the Lord we will see Dorothy again. I believe Dorothy is in his care, and no longer in pain. Love you sis. 

First of all, Glory be to God in the highest.
 The one who created the heavens and the earth.
Our mom touched many lives throughout the years and for every life that she touched she left a lasting impression.
She was everybody's something else.
But regardless of all circumstances, through good times and bad she will be missed. We tried our best to make and keep her happy, but I guess our best wasn't good enough.
I pray that finally she has found everlasting joy, peace, the happiness she so desired and made heaven her home.
We will cherish the good memories as we say goodbye.
As for us that remain, we should be working out our own soul salvation with fear and trembling Philippians 2:12 
We don't know when our departure from this earth shall be, for we will step into eternity as she has now done.
Choose this ye day whom you will serve Joshua 24:15, because to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord 2 Corinthians 5:8-9.
We thank all who assisted in the care of our mom from the family members, doctors and Williams and Bluitt Funeral home

My mama she is gone I can’t believe it I’m still in shock . I can’t make sense of it . It’s so hard to process. I know we all have to go but damn it I wasn’t prepared for this kind of hurt. My mama was something else but she was my something else. I will miss my mama so much .I loved my mother dearly.                 Love you always mama Robyn Sheree Grigsby 

I'm going to miss those delicious fish dinners and my favorite caramel cake. I hate that you left us way too soon😢.  Just know I love you Aunt Dorothy; I will miss you always & forever.
