He was born on March 24th, 1917 in Massachusetts but came of age in
Golfstown, New Hampshire during The Great Depression.
He was an avid outdoorsman, he hunted, fished and ran a trap-line.
During WWII, he joined the Army Air Corps, where he served as a Radar Man
during the North Africa, Sicily and Italian Campaigns.
After the war, he married his first wife, Winona.
He and Nona had three sons.
After the untimely death of Winona in 1974, he remarried in 1976.
Don and Doris remained married until his death in 2015, they were together 39yrs.
He was a gentle man who passed on his love of Art, Music and the Outdoors to his 3 sons.
He is survived by his beloved wife Doris, his brother Winston, sons, Gary and Dennis,
and stepchildren, Denvel, Pam and Lloyd.
He was proceeded in death by his son Bruce and stepchildren Rose, Debbie and Tim.
