Dolores "Lowie" Marie Boston

Dolores Marie Boston, 90, of Indianapolis passed away on January 27, 2020 in Bonita Springs, Florida. Dolores was born March 14, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Porten. She was a Geriatrics nurse at the Richard L. Roudebush Medical Center for 30 years, retiring in the mid 80's. Dolores was a long time member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. Dolores was a warm, compassionate, vibrant woman with a passion for life. Always went out of her way to help others. Dolores had a zest for life and sound moral values. She was a proud and dignified woman with lots of lasting friendships and the most beautiful smile. She is survived by her husband of 68 years; Odia Boston, daughters; Mary Jo Newman, Carol (Tom) Rost, Susan (Jim) Eshcoff and Donna (John) Hall, sisters; Mary Frances Powers, Roselyn Griffith and Jean Jett, brothers; Dave, Edward and Nick Porten, 6 grandchildren; Steve (Melissa) Rost, TJ (Amy) Rost, Chris Rost, Christie (David) Chambers, John (Lindsay) Eshcoff and Jake Hall, step-granddaughter; Johnna Hall, and 6 great-grandchildren; Drew, Luke, Graham and Griffin Rost and Jack and Charlotte Chambers. Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, brother; Joseph (Joyce) Porten, Brother-in-Laws; Bob Powers, Clark Griffin and Jerry Jett. Visitation for Dolores will be on Thursday, February 6, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm and Friday, February 7, from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at St. Christopher Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, February 7, at 10:00 am at St. Christopher Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, contribution should be made in Dolores's name to the National Kidney Foundation or American Heart Association.
