Diana Lynn Receveur

Diana Lynn (Wood) Receveur, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family and friends on February 19, 2023. Diana was born in Indianapolis on August 11, 1954 to Barbara Phillips and James H. Wood of Indianapolis. Diana attended Ben Davis HS and resided mostly on the west side of Indianapolis.

Diana was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Johnson; and granddaughter, Hannah Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Receveur; son, Christopher (Laura) Johnson; daughter, Shirley (Jeff) Viewegh; stepson, Raymond (Chrissy) Receveur; stepdaughters, Lorrie (Jeff) Alderman and Deborah (Dan) Lay; siblings, Edward Yancey, Pat Wilmoth, Jimmy Jo Emmons, and James H Wood III; along with her grandchildren, Christian Johnson, Annabelle Johnson, Abigail Johnson, Tyler Wilson, Kryslyn Lee, Peyton Viewegh, and Nicole Viewegh.

Diana will be missed by all including “Precious”, her beloved dog, who laid by her side until her last day.

Diana was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend. To know Diana was to love Diana. She had an infectious laugh. Diana loved to karaoke, play poker, travel, listen to country music, and share a drink or two with friends. She was the life of every party. Diana was quick to tease those that she cared for and determined to get the last word. She lived life by a motto, “I’ll Decide”!

A visitation for Diana will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224. An entombment will occur Saturday, February 25, 2023 at West Ridge Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
