Daniel Lee Concannon

Daniel Lee Concannon, 65, of Indianapolis, departed this life at his home on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Dan was born August 7, 1956 in Terre Haute, Indiana to James Lee and Martha Elizabeth (Rodie) Concannon. He was a 1974 graduate of North Central High School and then attended Indiana State University.

Dan was a kind and gentle soul who was happiest making memories with family and friends. He loved reading in a quiet place, science-fiction movies and rarely missed an episode of Star Trek. He enjoyed scuba diving and had worked as a charter boat captain in Miami, Florida for eight years and afforded many divers unforgettable experiences. Dan was a recovering alcoholic and proud 15 year member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

He was preceded in death by his dear father, James Lee Concannon. Dan is survived by his loving mother, Martha Elizabeth Concannon; devoted siblings, Michael (Patricia) Concannon, Jane (Dean) Burger, James Concannon and Patrick (Jerri) Concannon; grateful nieces and nephews, John and Joe Concannon, Alison and Kelley Burger, Shannon (Edgar) Ramos, Sam Concannon, and Isabella and Ava Concannon.

Visitation for Dan will begin at 1:00 on Friday, September 17th and conclude at time of the memorial service at 3:00. Private inurnment will be at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Dan's kind heart and giving nature, memorial contributions are suggested in Dan’s name to any charity of your choice.
