I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Kindermann’s death. I was in the Youth Group at Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ with him. He and Rev. Daries would often have dinner at my childhood home. He was a great man. 

I remember Mr. Kindermann from my days in the youth group at Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ.  He was kind, fun, generous and respectful.  We did youth activities, worship events, went to shows like Stop The World I Want To Get Off,  work sessions and retreats.  He counselled, joked, advised and was just our friend as well as our advisor.  I have many memories to last the rest of my life of him and those days in the past.  He will be missed, but remembered always.

Charles was a good friend and a wonderful soul! Richard and I loved visiting with him at Christ Church Cathedral, and Richard especially enjoyed serving with Charles on the Vestry. We send our love and prayers to his family at this tender time.

As a former congregant of Christ Church Cathedral on the Circle, I knew Charles quite well. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and the stories of his service in the Navy were classic. He was a kind and generous soul who was loved by his friends from the Cathedral. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.  May the souls of all the dearly departed faithful rest in peace. 

Charles took a chance on me in 1998 and welcomed me to the Indianapolis Senior Center.  He taught me so much.  Charles was a great friend and mentor.  I had the pleasure to present him with the Sagamore of the Wabash at the Center's Senior Prom.  He didn't even get mad at me when I cleaned and organized his desk.

Charles and Jim were the very first to welcome us to Central Avenue when we bought 2 doors north of them 30 plus years ago.  We will miss Charles’ frequent garden tours where he would venture up our driveway  and tour the back yard - usually ending up at the cherry tomatoes and popping several into his mouth. We will miss our frequent state fair visits - usually going at least 3 times during the run of the fair just to make sure we had seen all there was to see and do.  We will miss our political discussions as we agreed totally    on how wrong the Republicans were on most every issue.  But most of all we will miss that wonderful twinkle in his eye that told you the story was about to become interesting. Rest In Peace dear friend!
