 Obituario de Charles E. Jackson
Charles Edward Jackson, 82, of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully on August 22, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born on September 9, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Helen Jackson. He graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1957 and joined the Army from 1957-1960. His military background included jumping out of planes which he told to his family often as he fondly shared his memories of military service. Charles had a passion for driving tractor trailers and passenger transportation. After retiring from General Motors in 1993, he went on to continue his love of driving with IndyGo and Greyhound public transportation; Warren Township, Lawrence Township, and Indianapolis Public School districts. He loved to sew, play chess and had a good sense of humor. His wit often had his family in tears from laughter. While in physical rehabilitation, Charles gave his life to Christ. This was monumental for him as for most of his life, he did not believe in God. Charles was preceded in death by his mother Helen, his siblings Betty Jo, Johnny, Vivian; and his sons Johnny, Brian, Todd. Charles is survived by his wife Marsha; daughters Melanie, Angela (Craig), Deann, Pam; 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
