 Obituario de Charles John Collet
Charles John Collet was born in Pontiac, Michigan on July 6, 1940 to Leslie G. & Elizbeth Collet. Charles and his twin brother, Malachy Jospeh Collet, grew up in Indianapolis and attended St. Christopher and Cathedral High School. Charles was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, class of 1962 and a loyal supporter. He served in the United States Navy as a lieutenant J.G. After military service, he attended Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington graduating in 1967. He practiced law in the estate and gift tax sector for 30 years and solo practiced for 25 years. Charles was a member and past president of the Federal Bar Association and a member of the District of Columbia bar. Charles was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary parish for 54 years and served on the board of the Hoosier Girl Scouts. Charles was married for 55 years to Louise Wolfla Collet and is survived by his wife, Louise, and three daughters, Eileen (Collet) Stanisic, Emily (Collet) Huntzinger, and Sarah (Collet) Ferguson and his four grandchildren: Sophia Stanisic, Alek Stanisic, Colin Ferguson and Maura Ferguson and his sons-in-law, Slobodan Stanisic, Joe Huntzinger, and Mike Ferguson. Charles is also survived by his brother, Christopher G. Collet and sister, Mary Catherine Collet. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Visitation will be from 10am-12pm with Mass of Christian burial to follow at 12pm. Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and A Miracle Place.
