Brenda Crayton

Ms. Brenda Lee Crayton (Hollis) was born on October 11, 1957, the daughter of Bennie Lee Hollis and Sammie Lee Hollis (Holifield) in Indianapolis, IN. Brenda committed her life to Christ at an early age and was Baptized at 25th Street Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN where she was an active member for over 40 years. Brenda attended Indianapolis Public Grade Schools and was a graduate of North Central High School. She went on to attend the Professional Careers Institute and received a Higher Education Degree in Phlebotomy and as a Medical Assistant. Brenda also attended the University of Indianapolis School of Nursing. Brenda was united in marriage on March 15, 1977 to Ronald A. Crayton and to this union two children were born Aniya Crayton and Erron Crayton (Clayton). Brenda was employed at Wellpoint as a Licensed Pharmacy Tech before transitioning to The Hartford Group as a Claims Specialist where she was just weeks away from retiring. Brenda was a devoted Daughter, Mother and Grandmother. She cherished the time that she spent with her family and especially her grandchildren whether it was shopping, going to the movies, vacationing or going out for dinner we always had a great time. Brenda dedicated her later years of her life to caring for her elderly parents during their illness and she always put their needs first. Brenda was beyond an amazing woman who could carry the weight of a thousand men. Brenda left a lasting impression on everyone she met throughout her life with her caring heart and willingness to help those that she loved. Her warm spirit and loving soul will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Brenda was proceeded in death by her parents Bennie Lee Hollis and Sammie Lee Hollis (Holifield). Brenda leaves to cherish her memory her son Aniya Crayton, Daughter Erron Crayton (Clayton), Granddaughters Ah’livia Clayton and Ryleigh Clayton, Grandson Trevon Thomas and host of other relatives and friends.
