Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery
Betty Jane Goodner was born on April 27, 1944 in Cottontown, Tennessee to Hubert Goodner and Gertrude Isabell Moore. One of ten children. Preceded in death by her sister Eva Lou Williams, mother Gertrude Isabell Goodner, father Hubert Goodner, brothers Miles P. Goodner (Betty) Charles Goodner (Edith). Betty at an early age she accepted Christ and was baptized. She attended grade schools and graduated from Brandsford High School in Springfield, Tennessee in 1963. She moved to Indianapolis, Indiana shortly after graduation. She was a very generous, kind-hearted and loving individual. She was a positive and optimistic person. She had three pet names "Betty Boo" as many people back in "her days" called her. Her most recent pet names were google.com and "CNN", because she was the one to call about any family information or news. Betty kept our family well-informed on any and every family event regardless of the location north or south. She loved her family she didn't drive in her later years but if family needed her she found a way to get to them. She was always one welcoming family and friends to stay with her. Her door was open, her car was available for transportation and the refrigerator open. Her grandchildren, nieces and nephews loved her as so did her family, Betty was easy to love. Betty leaves to cherish her: son Randall Dunn (Mary), daughter Ca'Treise Mc'Guire; brothers Joseph Goodner (Francis), Harold Goodner (Esther), Windford R. Goodner (Marcia), Herbert Wayne Goodner (Sylvia); sisters Hazel Smith, Clarinda Snorton, grandchildren Jacob Dunn and Moniece Jones, her aunt Arlevea McMurray and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.
