 Obituario de Anthony Scott Warren
On Sunday, November 22, 1942, a free spirited rambunctious, individual was born to Leon Allison and Emily (Brooks) Warren whom they named Anthony Scott Warren, but you can call him Tony. On, Tuesday, May 9, 2023, that same free spirited rambunctious individual took his last breath and was called to everlasting rest. Anthony has lived a life of 80 years, 5 months and 11 days which accounts to 29,388 days, or 42,318,720 minutes, or 2,539, 123,200 seconds on this side of heaven where he enjoyed many adventures. TONY had many travels, and he sang his way across this Country and loved nature at its best. He had an assignment to feed God's Creatures; the birds, squirrels, and whatever else happened to make it to the trough, and He UNDERSTOOD THE ASSlGNMENT. We do know that Tony had a knowledge of the Lord as one of his favorite spiritual songs was "See How They Done My Lord", and you can't sing about the Lord unless you know Him for yourself. We have the faith and belief that God has brought Tony home to that place that was prepared. That wonderful place where we can one day see him again and where He can be with those many loved ones that have gone on before him. Tony was preceded in death by both parents, Leon and Emily. Sisters, Esther Marie Ewing, Norma Dale Wilson, Henrietta Fitzgerald, Brother Larry Warren, Granddaughter Joi Lynn Warren, and Great Grandson Anthoney Warren, what a family reunion. ANTHONY had a few other names that he answered to: Tony, Daddy, Maceo, The Beast, Uncle Tony, Granddaddy, and Mr. Warren, OH….and to a few, he was Granddaddy Wolf. However, one title that He carried with pride and honor was Husband, and as he has stated on many occasions, is that He would never leave nor forsake His Wife, Edna and after 64 years of marriage to Edna, 4 children, Tony Andino, Michael Leon, Angela. and Channel Marie, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, he kept his vows, Till Death Do Us Part. Many have known of this great love affair that has seen, withstood, demanded, and proclaimed that it would withstand any test of time, and that it has. As He stated openly and publicly, "I've loved her from the moment I saw her get on the bus." This union has been tested and tried to be true, and only God was able to separate what He had joined together. TONY was blessed with many talents, and if you were fortunate enough to have witnessed one of these talents, count it all a blessing. From him playing his drums and bongos, guitar strings, singing to a James Brown tune, or even tickling the ivory, or riding on his Harley, or catching him drive by in his corvette, this will give you an idea of how he viewed life, EASY LIKE A SUNDAY MORNING. Tony loved people, he enjoyed parties, hanging out with the Iron Pride Motor-cycle Club, The Corvette Club, he liked to talk about his adventures when he hung out with celebrities and never felt inadequate in their presence. Afterall He was a regular guy. You may have been fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of him working on a job with those hands made for a brick layer, a trade that was passed down from Father to Son. His fellow friends/co-workers know that he had a remarkable skill when it came to his craft. He never bragged about his skills, but tell it all, Tony was a remarkable brick mason since his early years under the watchful eye of his father. Tony attributed his knowledge and work ethics to his father, and as any parent would; he passed his knowledge down to his son as well. GRANDDADDY, Granddaddy, He was just that. a loving, caring, compassionate role model for His next generation. His grandchildren were his heart and soul as they gave him the chance to do it all over again with less mistakes. The wisdom he had to offer only comes by living a life of learning, changing, accepting, and experience. With all his new knowledge, he was very quick to provide advice in EVERY situation, with his talks, examples, question and answer sessions and lectures over and over and over and again. He had to make sure its embedded and will never be lost to his seed. When He said, "Can I ask you a question”, get ready the advice was coming. Thank you Granddaddy for your Wisdom and we hope that it gets carried thru to your future generations and your branch grows higher and higher on this tree of life. TONY leaves to cherish his memory, and a memory it is. He has left his mark on those of us who will cherish that memory; hold it sacredly and write it on our foreheads, pass it down and keep the memory on our lips as we speak of him, and share his antics, and move in a way that he would want us to move, and to remember that He was here. We, His wife, Edna Bouie Warren, His Sons; Tony (Pam), Phillip Woods, Michael (LaToya), Karachi, and Romaro (Ronita). His Daughters; Angela Moorman, Debra Thomas, and Charmel Warren; His 27 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Granddaughter; His Brothers; Curtis (Jean) and Steven (Virginia) Warren; His Sister, Ruth (Henry) Woods; His Aunt; Ruth Tutt; His God Sons Ronald and Smitty, and His Family and Friends All in agreement will uphold His Memory. Tony has lived, what else is there to say. He lived ... And as He would say, "We Made lt!" A visitation for Anthony will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM.
