Alice Louise Morton

Alice Louise Morton (Morton) passed peacefully on July 1st, 2024 in Greenwood, Indiana at 84 years of age. Alice is survived by her nephew John Morse of Brownsburg, Indiana. Alice was born on January 28, 1940 in Robinson, Illinois to John and Shirley Morton. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1957, Indiana State University in 1961 with a degree in Education and Indiana University in 1965 with a Master of Arts. Alice spent a total of 35 years in education as a media specialist serving students and teachers. Alice retired in 2001 from Lawrence Township after 29 years of service. Alice was an avid reader, traveler and lover of cats. Alice lived a life rooted in her Catholic faith and love of God. A funeral service is scheduled for July 23rd, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Pius X Parish located at 7200 Sarto Drive in Indianapolis, Indiana. There will be a time for family and friends to gather and celebrate Alice’s life beginning at 9:30 AM at St. Pius X preceding the service. A separate burial service will be held on a later date at the family cemetery in Marshall, Illinois.
