She will be lovingly remembered by her children Karen (John) McCall and Scott (Penny) McCall; grandchildren Max, Sam and Willow; sisters Doris (Wayne) Stelmackowich, Georgina (Vern) Coulthard and Lois (Dwight) Dixon, and much-loved nieces and nephews and their children.
Vivian was born at Abernethy, SK, and grew up on the family farm in the Chickney District. Vivian completed her early years of school at Chickney School and later graduated from Abernethy High School in 1959. Vivian completed her training as a Registered Nurse at the Regina General Hospital and married her high school sweetheart David McCall in 1963 and moved to Indian Head that same year. Vivian worked at Indian Head Hospital from 1963-1974 when she left to work for Tubman’s Funeral Home and Ambulance until 1981. Vivian went on to manage the District Emergency & Home Care Services until her retirement in 2001. In retirement, she and Dave enjoyed travelling and each year spent the month of March in Victoria, BC. Vivian loved spending time with friends and maintaining her beautiful garden and yard.
After David passed away in 2009, Vivian moved to Regina in 2010 to be closer to her son and his family. She enjoyed playing bridge, shopping, sleepovers with her granddaughter, puzzles and spending time with friends and family. She was passionate about watching curling and baseball on TV and was a long-time season ticket holder to Saskatchewan Roughrider games. She loved her children and grandchildren and was actively involved in their lives. She and daughter Karen often travelled to the USA and Vancouver Island for some special shared vacations in recent years.
