On Friday, May 6th, 2016 Irene Hitchens, Indian Head, Sask. died at the age of 84 years. The funeral service will be held in St. Andrew’s United Church, Indian Head on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Hanes officiating. Interment of cremated remains will take place following the service in the Indian Head Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held in the United Church C.E. Center. Irene Hitchens was predeceased by her loving husband Adelbert, daughter Karen, daughter in law Patricia, father Joseph Gall, mother Alice Gall, brother William Gall and a sister Marjorie Kjeldsli. She is survived by son Darrell Hitchens of Victoria, his children Jami (Tim) Wood of Victoria, their children Jadyn, Arwin, Olivia, Terrance Hitchens (Sheena Young) of Fort McMurray, their son Ethan, Joshua Hitchens (Kathy Nguyen) of Fort McMurray, their daughter Briella, son Don (Barb) Hitchens of White City, their boys Derek Hitchens (Haley Roesch) of Victoria, Daniel Hitchens (Renee Alarcon) of Calgary and Devon Hitchens of Regina. Siblings she leaves behind Donald/Bud (Nonie) Gall of Saskatoon, Evelyn (Gus) Peesker of London, Marion McCabe (Don) of Regina, Joanne (Jerry) Beattie of Regina, Jerry (Joan) Gall of Qu’Appelle, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. As well she also leaves behind her extended family of Ernie and Margaret Dragan, Nancy Dragan, George and Jean Dragan, children Nicole (Derek), Michelle, Leanne (Johnny), Susan and Barry Reynard, children Shandra (Colton) and Chelsea (Kole), Sally and Tim Blenkin, children Megan (Sean) and Brianne (Tanner).
