Harold Wilfred Nicholson

NICHOLSON, on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, Harold Nicholson, Regina and formerly of Balcarres and Abernethy District at the age of 77 years. The funeral service will be held in Knox United Church, Abernethy on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Mee officiating. A reception for family and friends will be held in the Abernethy Community Hall following the service. Cremation will take place with interment in Abernethy cemetery at a later date. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Florence Nicholson, a sister Ethel Brewington, a brother Bob Nicholson and a brother in law J.H.(Jim) Brewington he is survived by a close friend Nancy Redfern, a sister in law Helen Nicholson, nieces and nephews: Joan Barton, Don Nicholson, Sheila Joly, Jim Brewington and their families. Harold Nicholson farmed in the Abernethy district from 1953 until his retirement in 1980. He enjoyed sports being involved with coaching softball and baseball as well as curling he was a long time fan of the Saskatchewan Rough Riders for many years.
