Edward Kress

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Eddy, a proud dad, grandpa and great-grandpa.

Eddy was predeceased by his beloved wife Clara in December 2023.

He is survived by his 6 children, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren:

Charlotte Kress (Darran Baumgartner) and family: Charlene Mayer; Chris Mayer (Angie Schlechter) children Emma and Levi; Michelle Mayer children Gage and Nate.

Glenn (Bonnie) Kress and family: Odessa Kress; Jarrett Kress.

Maureen (Blake) Kotylak and family: Logan (Jenna) Kotylak children Aubree & Oliver; Georgia Kotylak; Jaden Kotylak (Tenisha Dusyk).

Mark Kress (Rachel Huschi) and family: Brynleigh Kress.

He is also survived by his sister Katherine (Ken) Runge, brother David (Kathy) Kress, in-laws: Leona (Frank) Knoll and Mary Ripplinger.

Predeceased by parents: Jacob & Regina Kress and numerous brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law.

Edward was a man of simple pleasures and a man of few words. He loved when family and friends came to visit and enjoyed listening to their stories.

He started to farm at a very young age and continued till an old age. The farm was the only place he wanted to be and didn’t venture far from it. The farm was his happy place.

The funeral mass was celebrated in St. Ignatius R.C. Church, Kendal, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Francis (Prince) Kurisinkal. The interment took place in St. Ignatius Parish Cemetery.

The pallbearers were: Chris Mayer, Odessa Kress, Jarrett Kress, Logan Kotylak, Marley Kress and Jaden Kotylak.
