Bill was born June 8, 1945, in Seattle, Washington; he was the son of Dorothy Montrey. Bill enjoyed family get-togethers, eating barbecue, watching movies, reading Louis Lamar's westerns, and cheering on his home sports teams. Bill was an Ironworker and retired from the IRON Workers Local 10 Labor Union in Kansas City, Missouri. Bill was a believer and will be remembered for his one-liner jokes and fun sense of humor. He was loved and will be missed dearly by numerous friends and family.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother; his brother, Tom Braun; son, Joe Miller; son-in-law, Steve Dothard; stepson, Jeff Bryant; and daughter, Claire Brooks. He is survived by his wife, Mary K. Brown; two sisters, Cam (Bill) Nulty and Barbara Jean Hopkins; two stepdaughters, Tracey Mixon and Tiffany Dothard; two sons, Jason (Sarah) Miller and Jarrod Miller; great nieces and nephews; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A memorial gathering for William will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel, 509 S. Noland Road, Independence, Missouri 64050. A celebration of life will begin at 2:30 PM.
