Teri was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and moved to Missouri in her early years with her parents (Lowanda and Aubrey Henley) and three sisters. She started her family with Terry Fisher and remained in the greater Kansas City area throughout her life. While she called Missouri her home, she loved to travel the world with her children and friends when she got the opportunity. She was known as a quiet, yet determined, woman who “was the sweetest gal,” who loved deeply, shared generously, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
We will never forget how her greenish-hazel eyes sparkled each time she laughed; how she was always game to do anything (go shopping, travel to new places, help with any home renovation project, go for hikes, explore abandoned houses); how she loved nature, gardening, reading, and going to the movies; and how she radiated love for her children, friends, and family.
She is survived by her three children - Matthew (wife Meghan), daughter Mandy (husband Ryan), and daughter Kelly (husband AJ), and two sisters - Brenda and Carol.
She will be with us, always.
A private remembrance ceremony will be held by her family. Her ashes will be scattered in the future. Her family asks in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
