Harry was born August 31, 1937 in Independence, MO to the late Ruth and Harry M. Henderson, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Ilene Miller and Linda Rutledge and a step son James Ragan, Jr.
Harry was a tool and die machinist at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant which led to an engineering career and supervision of the engineering department. Harry was very proud to have supported Israeli war efforts with ammunition development. He was a master craftsman of metal work and could make just about any part. Harry loved restoration of vintage cars, aviation, bird watching, camping, fishing and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Helen, sons Dwight (Andi), Dale (Carol), Darron (Renee); stepchildren Kathy Ragan, Ann (Harold) Scott, Jerry (Deni) Ragan, Edie (Tom) Schmidt, Mary (Joe) Ragan, Carolyn (Calvin) Treffer and Loretta Ragan. A multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation for Harry will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel, 509 S Noland RD, Independence, MO 64050. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the chapel. A committal service will occur Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Mt Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64138.
Serving as pallbearers are Dwight Henderson , Dale Henderson , Darron Henderson , Melissa Collins, Alyssa Broadus and Ken Durbin.
