Frances Gardner Shelton Payne was born to Frank and Lula Gardner on December 22, 1921. It was a difficult pregnancy and birth for Lula Gardner and thus Frances was the only child born to them. She grew up lonely and often said that when she got married that she was going to have lots of kids.
She met the love of her life Henry Alfred Shelton at her mother's restaurant, and they fell in love and were married in 1942. To this union there were 4 daughters born, the last one being a surprise.
Frances was preceded in death by Henry Alfred Shelton, Frank D. Payne, Patricia Louise Wilson, Linda Kay Mann, and Maurine Elizabeth Woods.
She is survived by her daughter Janice L Wilder and husband Carl, grandchildren: Jalen L Wilder, Eric M Mann, Dana E Mann (Julia), Christopher C Wilson (Michelle), Amy L Wilson (Dan Toico), Tim and Matt Huckaby, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as her son-in-law Richard E Wilson.
