Patty was born on May 19, 1948 to Charles and Annabelle (Wills) Ezen in Worcester, MA. She graduated from Burncoat Senior High School in 1966. That year, Patty met her future husband, Gordon Guire during a summer vacation to Cape Cod. They were married in Dennisport, MA in 1967 and went on to have three children, Cheryl, Deanna and Eric.
Patty loved being a wife and homemaker, and raising her children on Cape Cod. She and her family spent many summer days at Dowse’s Beach, Sandy Neck, and Wequaquet Lake; arriving before the lifeguards and leaving at sunset. She loved to open her home to her family and friends so they could experience Cape Cod through her eyes. Later in life, she shared her tremendous love of the ocean and good food with her grandchildren and nieces as well.
Her positive outlook in life was contagious. She approached everyday with a fun joyful outlook. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader, and everybody she crossed paths with became like family to her.
Patty was predeceased by her parents Charles and Annabelle (Wills) Ezen and her brother Charles Theordore (Teddy) Ezen. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Gordon Guire, her sister Rosalee Horvath of Altoona, FL, her sister in-law Margaret Ezen of Marietta, GA, her daughter Cheryl (Guire) and husband Brian Pervere of West Hartford, CT, her daughter Deanna (Guire) and husband Michael Colbert of Saugus, MA, her son Eric and wife Randi Guire of Needham, MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Emily and Sara Colbert; Brian, Ethan, Marissa and Jason Pervere; Sienna, Austin and Colby Guire and her nieces Kristen Ezen-Wickham and family, Jennifer Ezen and Laura (Ezen) Klingman and family.
