Born on September 12, 1933 in South Weymouth, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alberigo A. and Clara (Mariano) Garofalo.
Mary was a homemaker and later worked in the Human Resource Department of Schmidt, Inc. in Randolph. After her retirement, she went on to work for Seaver Printing in Wareham and Midnight Mail in Hyannis.
Mary was an avid bowler, winning many 10 pin trophies. She loved to read and watch old movies. During her younger years, Mary moved with her family living in different parts of the United States, including Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, East Falmouth, MA and Texas. More than anything, she cherished the time that she shared with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Lynn A. Seaver; her brother, Patrick A. Garofalo and her sister, Gloria C. Johnson.
Mary leaves behind her six children, Douglas R. Hazleton, Jr. and his wife, Dianne of Falmouth, Mark A. Hazleton and his wife, Kathy of Sandwich, Scott P. Hazleton of Hyannis, Gloria A. Cusick of Hyannis, Glenn A. Hazleton of Newburgh, NY, Craig S. Hazleton and his wife, Lynne of Sandwich; 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 4 – 8 pm on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street in Hyannis.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Saint Anthony’s Parish, 167 East Falmouth Highway in East Falmouth. Burial will follow in Saint Anthony’s Cemetery in East Falmouth.
