Edward J Gagnon (Eddie) of Centerville passed away October 3rd, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of 61 years to Elizabeth (Libby) Gagnon. Edward was born in Boston and raised in Stoughton, Massachusetts. At an early age his parents passed, and he was raised by Doris Daudelin (Nana). Doris and Eddie moved to the Cape in 1951, where he graduated from Barnstable High School in 1953. Some years later Eddie met and married the love of his life Libby. They settled in Centerville where they raised three daughters and later raised their great grandson, Joseph Faria. There, Eddie served a 30+ year career at Tracy Volkswagen. Eddie had a love for many things. If he was not with his family, he could be found hunting, fishing, writing short stories, or working in his gunsmith shop E.G. Customs which made him well known with gun enthusiasts in the community. Ed was a lifetime member of Bass River Rod & Gun Club where he made lifelong friends. Eddie and his wife were devoted members of the First Baptist Church community for about 60 years. He is preceded by his wife Libby, granddaughter Hayley, parents, and Doris (Nana). He is survived by his daughters Meg Gagnon (Tim O’Connell), Peg Garcia (Aaron), Jen Brady (Jack) and chosen son Corey Sibbio. He is also survived by his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren whom knew him best as “Granky”; Jordan, Chandler, Elizabeth, Samuel, Rebecca, Joseph, Elijah, and Jayliana.
