Carole Ann Paterson

Carole Ann (Hammill) Paterson, 85, of Hyannis, MA, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. She was the daughter of the late John C. and Frances (Beckerman) Hammill. Carole was born in Brighton and raised in Quincy. She was a graduate of Quincy High School (’57) and attended Northeastern University and Fisher Junior College while working as a medical assistant and in the business office of Quincy City Hospital.

Carole moved to Cape Cod and settled in Hyannis where she worked for Woolworths prior to working for Cobbie Comfort Shoe Shop from 1987 to 2004. Carol was an avid reader and loved doing puzzles. After her retirement, she took up coloring and became the leader of her senior housing coloring group. She also loved all animals but had a deep affection for cats. Her latest cat Bubu was her everything.

Carole is survived by her daughter Paula, her husband Keith Martin of West Yarmouth and their son Jeremy Martin; her brother Jack C. Hammill and his wife Sandy of Braintree, MA.
