William "Bill" Brinson, of Clermont, Florida, formerly of Huntsville, Alabama, surrounded by his family went home to be with his Savior on October 29, 2023. Born in Tampa, Florida on August 10, 1935, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jeannette (Jan) (Adams), his parents Walter Raleigh and Lucile Burt Brinson, and sister Nell Morelle. He is survived by his sister, Lois Neathery, and his five children: Richard Thomas (Rick), William Randall (Randy) (Eve), Karen Elizabeth Artis (Mike), Robert Eugene (Rob) (Tamara), and Sharon Kaye Inman (Rich Gladwin); twelve grandchildren, Shelley (Jorge), Shannon (Brian), Scott, Leah, Jamie, Kristen, Steven (Yiwen), Brandon (Alex), Ashley, Zachary, Megan and Rhett; and five great-grandchildren.
After graduating from high school, Bill served in the United States Air Force and graduated from the University of Florida in 1962 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked at the Aero Engineering Development Center in Tullahoma, TN., before moving to Huntsville, AL. where he worked for the Army Missile Command and CAS, Inc. After a successful career, he and Jan retired to Clermont, FL., where they enjoyed a fulfilling retirement traveling, playing golf, visiting his childhood friends, and enjoying their children and grandchildren.
The family greatly appreciates the love, prayers, visitations, phone calls, and texts received over the past month. You may visit with the family at 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL on Saturday, November 4, 2023, with a Memorial Service following at 3:30pm.
