Theodore Kennedy Bridges

T.K. was born in Decatur, AL, on September 13, 1937 to Theodore Wilford Bridges and Eula Mae Kennedy Bridges.

T.K. graduated with a bachelor of science from Knoxville College in 1958, with a degree in physical education. He then went on to graduate with his master's from the University of Alabama in 1975 with a Masters degree in Counseling Rehabilitation. He worked for the State Department of Rehabilitation and Crippled Children Services. When he retired, he was a district supervisor. His passion came after retiring when he gained certification from the PGA to be a Golf Instructor. With that certification and a passion for youth, he started the Huntsville Metropolitan Youth Golf Foundation, where he, along with friends, taught youth about golf and teamwork. He helped many youths gain college scholarships.

T.K. was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Wilford Bridges, his mother, Eula Mae Kennedy Bridges, and his brother, Ewell Bridges.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carrie E. Bridges and his children, Theodore E. Bridges (Wife Sharon W. Bridges) and Lisa M. Bridges, as well as his grandsons, Theodore W. Bridges and Shaun K. Bridges

There will be a visitation held at Valhalla Funeral Home on November 22nd, 2024 at 11am until 12pm and a service honoring T.K. at 12pm to follow. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
