Samuel Scott Rogers, Jr. of Huntsville, Alabama died December 8th, 2019, succumbing to lung cancer. He was 76 years old. Sam was born February 22, 1943, to Samuel S. Rogers, Sr. and Sally Lucille Pittman in Nashville, Tennessee. He married Martha Sue Sutton on June 28, 1964 in Arab, Alabama. Sam was an X-Ray technician for multiple orthopedic surgeons, ending his 37 year career with Sportsmed in Huntsville.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Sue Rogers, of Huntsville; his sons Michael, David, Doug and Jeff; his sister Lillian Berry; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be December 11, 2019 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama. Memorial service and entombment will be held December 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either Agape of North Alabama or the American Cancer Society.
