Robert "Bob" Eugene Murphy

Robert “Bob” Eugene Murphy, son of the late Carl and Dorothy Murphy, was born in Greenville, Ohio in 1939 and passed away on November 10, 2021, at his home in Toney, Alabama at the age of 82. He served 21 years in the U.S. Army, and his service stations included Vicenza, Italy, Pirmasens, Germany and Huntsville, Alabama. He met his loving wife, Bruna, while stationed in Vicenza, Italy; their marriage lasted 46 years until Bruna’s death. After retiring from the military, Bob went on to work as an Electronic Technician at Palco and Teledyne Brown Engineering.

Bob is survived by his children Giovanna “JoAnn” (Gary) Maier, Robert “Bobby” Murphy, Mauro (Karen) Murphy and Theresa (Zackary) McMahon; his grandchildren Lauren (Adrian) Sepulveda, Tyler Murphy, Skylar (Sara) Murphy, Sean (Kristin) Maier, Blake Murphy, Bo Murphy, and Alex McMahon; his great-grandchildren Benjamin Murphy, Lillian Murphy, Griffin Maier, and Vivian Sepulveda; and his siblings Helen (Charles) James; Judy McFadden, Gary Murphy, Dennis (Robin) Murphy. Preceded in death is Bob’s brother, Don Murphy, and his wife Gloria and daughter-in-law, Sherry Murphy.

Bob was a truly generous person who was loved by all who knew him. Words cannot describe how greatly he will be missed.
