Mike was born in 1963 to Alton and Nelda McAllister. He came from a family of great love and strong faith. He and Linda were high school sweethearts at Grissom High School. After marrying in 1981, they were blessed with three children and seven grandchildren.
His life’s work was quite remarkable, traveling the globe in support of the American warfighter. In 2009, Mike began working for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) at the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC). In 2018 and 2019, Mike was deployed to the Middle East in support of Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve. Upon his return home, he moved to the Weapons Defeat Branch where he served as Senior Defense Intelligence Analyst.
Mike’s professional career is highlighted by his always passionate support to the US warfighter, his love of country and love for his co-workers and colleagues. However, nothing compared to his love of God and his family.
He was preceded by his father Alton McAllister. Survivors include his wife of forty years, Linda Russell McAllister; three children: Connie (Randall) Hajjar, Russell (Heather) McAllister, and Katie McAllister; seven grandchildren: Abbie and Eli Hajjar; Jake, Ella and Natalie McAllister; Ava and Miriam Holley; Mother, Nelda McAllister; Brothers Tony and Paul (Loan) McAllister; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews he loved so dearly.
