Margot Landau Howe, age 89, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 in Madison, Alabama. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the chapel of Valhalla Funeral Home, with Bro. Scotty Sparks officiating. Entombment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Margot was born September 19, 1928 in Berlin, Germany to Moritz and Martha Sands Landau. She was an avid card player and bowler; and was active in various service ministries with her church, Mastin Lake Church of Christ. Margot was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to cheer the Madison Academy Mustangs on to victory! In additions to her parents, Margot was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Howe, Sr. and daughter, Joan Benson. Margot is survived by three children, Jeanette Glover (Jim), Yvonne Welch (Peter) and Richard Howe, Jr.; nine grandchildren, April Pendergrass, Trae Black, Kristy Burgreen, Ben Benson, Kaitlyn Howe, Misty May, Martha Baker, Brock Howe and Candice Welch; and 10 great grandchildren, Manning and Camden Pendergrass, Isabell and Olivia Black, Blake and Avery Burgreen, Leland and Lola Grace Benson, James Carden and Lilly Welch. Memorial donations may be made to AGAPE or Madison Academy
