MARGIE LOUISE MORTON August 31, 1938 – April 13, 2015 Margie Couch Morton, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, April 13, 2015 at Whitesburg Gardens surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Morton was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Lee and Odell Lankford Couch; 1 brother, Johnny James Couch; 2 sisters, Reba Shelton and Virginia Ann Self; 2 brothers in law, James Shelton and F. C. Self; 1 sister in law, Jean Couch; and a nephew, Homer Shelton. Left to cherish her precious memory is her son, Donald Morton (Betty) of Harvest; 2 daughters, Shirley Holland (Ken) of Fayetteville, TN and Sandy Bowen (Kenny) of New Market; 1 brother, Larry Couch (Connie) of Meridianville; 19 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 5 nieces and 6 nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends. Margie’s favorite word was “Angel” and everyone she met was her angel! She was a vibrant Christian lady and a long time member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Harvest. She was a very respectful and loving person, and treated everyone just the way she would want to be treated. Margie Morton was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her! You may visit with the family on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service conducted by Pastor Larry Dyar commencing at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2015 in Valhalla’s Chapel. The interment will immediately follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
