She was born to the late Joseph Herbert Cooper and Ottie Thompson Cooper on Aug. 25, 1928, in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH.
She was a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She was a long time resident of Huntsville. Lorraine and husband, Robert
moved the family to Huntsville from Mobile, AL in 1958. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Otway Lindsey;
a son, Richard Jeffrey Lindsey and a daughter, Deborah Ann Lindsey. Mrs. Lindsey is survived by a son, Rodney Otway Lindsey (Cindi);
a daughter-in-law, Paula Campbell Lindsey; granddaughters, Haley Lindsey Underwood (Michael) and Elizabeth Anne Lindsey;
grandsons, Christopher John Lindsey (Vicki), Ted Hamilton Lindsey (Bethany), David Jeffrey Lindsey (Lori) and Jason Winsett (Noelle);
and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Roy Melvin Cooper (Linda), of Pascagoula, MS
and Ralph Cooper, of Jacksonville, FL; and a sister-in-law, JoAnn Lindsey, of Gautier, MS.
She was a member of the Maysville Church of Christ, loved animals, gardening and bowling.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Pam Underwood, Bonnie and Raymond Tanner, Brenda Posey,
Kathy Galloway and to Amanda Moore and Renee Dawson, of Hospice of North Alabama,
for their kindness and caring for Lorraine in her final months.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Valhalla Funeral Home, on Tuesday, Mar. 3, 2015.
Chapel services will begin at 3:00 p.m., with Min. Tim Orbison officiating.
Interment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
