Larry "Buddy" Wayne Johnson

Larry “Buddy” Wayne Johnson, 76, of Huntsville, Al passed away peacefully at his home on October 7, 2024. Buddy was born on January 23, 1948 in Franklin, TN to George and Anna Johnson. He married Linda Johnson when he was 22 years old and they celebrated 54 years together on June 26th. Buddy worked for Vulcan Materials for 45 years and retired to enjoy more time with his wife and family. He loved to fish, camp, and go to NASCAR races. Most of all, he loved taking care of those he loved. His dedication to his family was the job he took the most pride in.

He is survived by his wife Linda, his son Kevin, his daughter Tracie (Anthony), his grandson Drew (Carlee), his granddaughter Kellie (Blake), his great-granddaughters Nora and Sadie, one brother Steve Johnson, and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.

Buddy's memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and those who were honored to have the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation for Larry will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Following the visitation will be the celebration of life service at 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel, Larry will be laid to rest in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Huntsville, AL.
