Joyce Mayo Savage

Our dear sweet angel, Joyce Mayo Savage, passed from this earth on Friday, August 11th, 2023. Some may say she lost the fight against cancer, but those that knew her would say that she won the fight because she is now with her Lord. She was born February 14, 1952 in Springfield, Tennessee to her parents Henry Delwyn and Blanche Suiter Mayo of Cedar Hill, Tennessee who preceded her in death.

She is survived by a sister Judy (Joe) Huskey of Nolensville, Tennessee and niece Meghan (Tommy) Tallakson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, several aunts, an uncle and cousins. She is survived by Jim, her loving husband of more than 49 years, daughter Jennifer of Huntsville, and son David (Olivia) of Huntsville. She is also survived by her brother and sister in law, Dick and Jean Savage of Huntsville, nephew, Derrick (Susan) of Starkville, Mississippi and niece Kristi MacDonald (Scott) of Huntsville as well as several great nieces and great nephews.

Valhalla Funeral Home is coordinating the arrangements and visitation which will be held at Mayfair Church of Christ on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 1:00-2:30 pm with service to follow at 2:30. Burial will be held at Valhalla Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. Dr. Gary Bradley will preside over the funeral and burial. Pallbearers will be Tommy Dobson, Tim Green, Nicholas Green, Allen Reynolds, Derrick Savage and David Sellers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Gilfilen and Jerry Wilhoite.
