Born in Fort Polk, Louisiana on January 13th, 1952, Donna was a kind and humble woman. She spent most of her life in her hometown of Huntsville, Alabama and was a Dixie Deb at Butler High School. Nonna to her children and grandchildren, she treasured this role. She loved them all greatly as she expressed often with, “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck—I love you.” She covered them in prayer daily, hosted Sunday dinners weekly, and attended family events every chance she could. Donna Jean to her sisters, they were her lifelong best friends. They covered for one another in their younger years and counted on each other in their elder years, enjoying family reunions, dinner dates, and Mexican Train. Described as a sweet, kind, and special friend, she will be missed dearly.
She was preceded by her parents, Willie O. Wynne and Ada Wynne; her husband of 32 years, Victor Bertoldi, Sr; her brothers, Donnie and Robbie Wynne; and her brother-in-law, Robert Teetz. She will be lovingly missed by her children, Amy and Jeff Gronberg, Michael and Jessica Bertoldi, and Victor Bertoldi, Jr; her grandchildren, Evan Gronberg, Sarah Gronberg, Madeline Bertoldi, Benjamin Bertoldi, and Eliora Bertoldi; her sisters, Linda Teetz and Silena Dyess; her brother-in-law Pete Dyess, and numerous other family and friends.
