Christopher Andrew Cole, 44 of Huntsville, AL passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Crestwood Hospital. Chris was born on March 19, 1975 in Beckley, WV. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vicki Lee Lilly Cole.
Left to cherish his memory are his father, John Cole of Huntsville, AL; sister, Lori Ann Cole Tafazoli (Mark) of Madison, AL; nieces, Olivia, Emma and Amelia Tafazoli of Madison, AL; aunts, Debbie Moss (John) of Buckhannon, WV, Kathy Kunkel (John) of Odenton, MD, Margaret Sue Lucas of Shady Spring, WV, Carol Roach (Everette) of Beckley, WV, Robin Settle (Jerry) of Powhatan, VA, Jennie Pennington of Beaufort, SC; along with numerous cousins.
Chris attended Maxwell Hill Elementary School and Park Jr. High School both in Beckley, WV. He graduated from Lee High School in Huntsville, AL in 1993. He went on to graduate from The University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL in 1998. Chris became Certified with the National Athletic Trainers Association in April of 2004, Certified Athletic Trainer in May of 2007. He served as an Athletic Trainer for many schools in Madison County, Huntsville and Decatur. He also worked for SportsMed, Encore Sports Medicine and Crestwood Sports Medicine from 1999 until 2007 as an athletic trainer. Chris was a part owner of Judge Crater’s Bar and Grill located in Huntsville, AL from 2003 until 2007. He was employed in various positions in the food service from 2007 until 2016.
Chris loved sports, played basketball, football and soccer in grade and high school. He had played soccer since he was seven years old for club teams and travel teams. He also played for Lee High School.
You may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services, officiated by Pastor Todd Noren-Hentz will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 10:00am in Valhalla’s Chapel. Interment will immediately follow the service at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the Garden of Gethsemane.
