Charles Farrell Mooney

Mr. Mooney is preceded in death by his parents, William Medder Mooney and Martha Jane Praytor; daughter, Sandra Jane Mooney.

Survivors are his loving wife, Peggy Mooney; son, Victor Mooney; daughters, Cynthia Legowik and Tammy Senterfit. Mr. Mooney is also survived by seven grandchildren,13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Mr. Mooney was a loving husband, father, grandfather, family man and a friend to everyone he met. He had a long career with NASA as a Contracting Officer and was part of the team that helped establish Marshall Space Flight Center. He loved gardening, yard work, helping others and taking his family on vacations. He loved the Lord and was a long time member of Willowbrook Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Willowbrook Baptist Church at 7625 Bailey Cove Rd. SE, Huntsville, Alabama 35802.

Visitation for Charles will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, AL 35811. A Celebration of Life Service will occur Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, AL 35811. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the Garden of Valor.
