Charles Edward and Helen Faye Blackburn

CHARLES EDWARD BLACKBURN April 3, 1937 – February 14, 2015 Charles Edward Blackburn, 77, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 at his residence in Toney. Mr. Blackburn was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus T. and Lola Bell Wood Blackburn, and a sister, Lola Mae Blackburn. Mr. Blackburn was a vibrant Christian man and faithful member of Lighthouse Baptist Church for many years. He was a master stone mason and his workmanship is represented proudly all over North Alabama. He also enjoyed golfing and hunting. Mr. Blackburn is survived by two sons, Keith E. (Renee) Blackburn of Fayetteville, TN and Russ (Becky) Blackburn of Toney; daughter, Cindy (T.J.) Jordan of Atlanta; one brother, Tommy (Judy) Blackburn of Cleveland, TN; one sister, JoAnn (Gene) Marks of Hampton Cove; nine grandchildren, Joshua Blackburn, Justin Blackburn, Kayla Jordan, Brady Jordan, Coty Blackburn, Marshall Jordan, Lindsay Blackburn, Ethan Blackburn and Eli Jordan and a host of friends. You may visit with the family at Valhalla Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 12:00 noon until 2:30 p.m. There will be a funeral service conducted by Bro. Randy Watts and Bro. Ronnie Gay, commencing at 2:30 p.m. in Valhalla’s Chapel. The Interment will immediately follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
