Wardena Mae Waldfogel, 94 of Huntington passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Heritage Pointe of Huntington. Wardena was a member of the College Park United Brethren Church. She graduated from Cissna Park High School in Illinois, and attended Huntington College. She enjoyed playing the piano and was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan.
Wardena was born on September 1, 1925 in Woodworth, Illinois, the daughter of Friedrich and Ora May (Clifton) Behrens.
Wardena was united in marriage to Rev. Raymond Waldfogel on August 9, 1945 in Claytonville, Illinois. Raymond preceded her in death on September 13, 2011.
Survivors include a three sons: John (Bonita) Waldfogel of Erie MI, Thomas (Patti) Waldfogel of Fort Wayne, and Douglas (Marta) Waldfogel of Huntington; a daughter: Susan (Thomas) Stong of Huntington; a daughter-in-law: Judith Waldfogel of Miamisburg OH; 15 Grand Children and 26 Great Grand Children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son: James D. Waldfogel, and a brother : Vernon Behrens.
Visitation will take place on Saturday August 8, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. We will be following the CDC’s guidelines for Social Distancing and Social Gathering Limits.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington, Indiana.
