After moving to Philadelphia, he attended and graduated from George Washington High School. He met his “bride to be” at the Donut Joy and his wife fondly grinned when she thought of that. Stephen loved watching TV and was thrilled to watch the Philadelphia Eagles, Two And A Half Men and Lawrence Welk, just to name a few. He so loved animals of all kinds, especially dogs. Stephen went to the gym on a regular basis and loved it. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, beer and family BBQ's. He loved family outings to Ocean City, NJ and Wildwood, NJ (had to be the Crest). Stephen was a kind and gentle soul and more than anything, family came first. He was all about his family.
Stephen is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Martha D. Knott (nee McConnell) and his loving son, Kevin Knott (Carole). He is also survived by his brother, Mitchell Knott (Asa), his nephews, Christian and Wesley Knott and his adorable grandchildren, Charlotte and Colette.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday Evening, November 13, 2018 at 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006 (on the grounds of Forest Hills and Shalom Cemeteries). Stephen’s Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
