Patricia (Pat) was the youngest child of William and Regina Kelly, and little sister to brothers Joe, Robert, Eugene, William and Michael.
Pat married Ranganna (Manny) Subramanya on September 24,1977. She was a loving and devoted mother to Neil Subramanya (Jessica), Nina Wenrich (Brian) and Monica Jones (Ryan). She was an adoring grandmother to Olivia, Aiden, Matthew, Mason, Jake, Sienna, Ava, Lia and Alexa.
Pat was a fun-loving, social soul with an infectious laugh who had the ability to connect and get along with just about anybody from any walk of life. This was no more evident than on her many trips to India with her family where she would acclimate to hot weather, hot food, new languages and many new people with ease. In time, she went on to master the preparation of South Indian food, which she lovingly and frequently prepared. We can’t think of anyone else who was as known for her dosas as she was for her sausage & peppers. Her family will miss these meals along with her famous “Christmas cracker cookies” and Irish Potatoes (the candy).
Pat made life-long friends everywhere she went. She had a talent for making everyone in her presence at ease. She held many cherished memories of friends and neighbors from her family’s time living in Northeast Philly, before moving to Bucks County. It brought her much joy to reconnect and see many of these friends in her final days.
As a young person, Pat endured challenges including the loss of her brother (Billy), father and mother. While such losses could have easily made her cynical or disagreeable, through her faith and spiritual strength she was able to maintain her signature humor and warmth.
Pat enjoyed Philly sports, good music, her pets and a good laugh. And tea. Lots of Barry’s Irish Tea. But most of all, she loved being with her family.
Pat is now reunited in paradise with her parents, brothers Billy and Michael, beloved sister-in-law Alberta Kelly, and pet dog Sandy.
A public visitation for Patricia will be held Friday, November 15, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Lamb Funeral Home Inc., 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006.
