Lore was born on August 22, 1930, in Ludwigsburg, Germany. She moved to the United States in 1933, and her family settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Lore loved her church and singing the old hymns. She loved and was loved deeply by her children, Frank (Dolores) and Doug (Jennifer) and especially by her grandchildren, Jim, Sam and Matthew. She was treasured by her brother, Gene and by her neices and nephews. She also loved and was loved by her church, who she considered to be her family. She was considered a mother by many at the church.
Lore was a fighter. She was a stage 4 ovarian cancer survivor. She survived a brain tumor and open heart surgery to remove a tumor in her aortic valve. She was a tough cookie! Through all of the trials in her life, she always gave testimony to all she encountered of the Lord's faithfulness. One of the final things she said on her last day, when told by her grandson, Jim that she was the strongest person he ever knew, she whispered quietly, "not my strength, it's the Lord's." She ministered to all of us 'till the very end.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me, the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8
