Joyce was born in Doctors Hospital in Philadelphia, PA on January 31, 1943, to parents Harry J. Everett and Emily V. Everett. She graduated from Little Flower High School in Philadelphia in 1960. Joyce went on to establish a career as an Executive Secretary for Sears, Credit Central. She worked for Sears for 33 years and during this time she worked for 28 bosses; all of whom had the highest regard for her exemplary work. Joyce took great pride in her work and was an exceptional organizer.
Joyce had a passion for reading. She enjoyed romance novels, biographies and many other topics. Joyce loved the beach town of Cape May, NJ and went on annual trips with her treasured friends known as the “Cape May Girls”. She loved to travel and particularly enjoyed Charleston, South Carolina.
Aside from her family, Joyce truly treasured her friendships, some going back to childhood. Joyce was the utmost description of a Lady. Always beautiful, kind, caring and generous of her time. She had a great love for animals and had many canine family members along the way.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Bill Flynn; daughter Vicki A. Walton (Richard); grandson Angelo J. Walton (Sarah).
A visitation for Joyce will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lamb Funeral Home Inc., 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006. An entombment will occur Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Forest Hills Cemetery, 25 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006.
