He was a long-time resident of Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania. Burt was born on December 30, 1944 in New York City, to parents Emanuel and Harryette Aronoff. He graduated from Lakewood High School and continued his education, graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Monmouth College and later obtaining a master’s degree from Duquesne University. He finalized his academic career at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where he began studying for a PhD in Philosophy of History. Burt was a member of Kibbutz Mishmarot in Israel for 11 years, where he learned the science of drip irrigation. Burt went on to establish a career as an irrigation sales specialist in the United States, working in the field for over 30 years.
Burt grew up with a deep curiosity about the world, which led him to travel extensively after completing his graduate studies. His journeys took him to the Middle East, Asia and Europe, where he returned with countless stories that captivated his friends and family.
His travels continued throughout his life, living in France, working in China, and vacationing in South America, the Caribbean and throughout the United States. Whether recounting his adventures or offering insightful advice, Burt's infectious humor and storytelling ability never failed to engage and entertain.
Burt was preceded in death by his parents, Emanuel and Harryette Aronoff.
Burt is survived by Patricia "Patti" Bebien-Aronoff, his wife of 42 years, along with his children Tal Aronoff and daughter-in-law Paulina Rudnik-Aronoff, Eli Aronoff and daughter-in-law Jill Albanese-Aronoff, Lior Aronoff, Sara Aronoff and son-in-law Brian Molzahn, his sister Wendy Aronoff, and his grandchildren: Jade, Emilio, Isabella, Cameron, Sydney, and Asher.
Shiva will take place in Florida at the residence of Ms. Patti Bebien-Aronoff on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Shiva will also be held at a residence in Wayne, PA, Saturday, December 20, 2024 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Please, contact the family for the exact address.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the chapel service Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Rd. Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Arrival at 11:00AM and the service will start at 11:30AM. At 12:00PM the procession and burial will take place at Shalom Memorial Park.
