Samuel Jones

He graduated from Jack Yates High School in 1972. He confessed Christ at an early age at St. Paul Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor R. L. Phillips. Following the Lord’s leading he joined New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor W. J. Profit. Sam was called to serve as a Deacon. After Pastor Profit went to be with the Lord, Rev. Devon Jackson was selected to lead. Sam also served faithfully by leading the Widow’s Ministry. He truly loved being a servant.

Samuel was employed with Envoy Air for over seven years and received Employee of the Year 2015. Sam departed for his heavenly home on August 15, 2020 and was met with brothers, Mitchell Reed, Leroy Foster and sister, Ester Mae. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Monique and adoring step-son, Samuel, mother-in-law, Faye Lacy, sister-in-law, Temica Berry (Bill), niece, Trannereka Ahmad, nephew, Christopher Lacy, special cousins, Mary Francis George, Vanessa Green, sister-in-law Shirley Foster, God-daughter, Jovetta Richards, along with a host of other family, friends, co-workers and his New Ju Family.
