Montgomery Browne in Paynesville, Liberia. Darryl, as he was affectionately called by his family, attained his early childhood education at Christ The King Elementary School, went on to Bammel Middle School, and was a 2017 graduate of Westfield High School. Darryl and his family migrated to the United States in 2008, in the hope of a better future. During his primary through secondary education, Darryl was charismatic, sociable, and a well-known student. Not only did he excel in his school work, but also in extracurricular activities.
In his quest for higher education, Darryl enrolled at the Lone Star North Harris Community College where he flourished. His exceptional leadership abilities, focus, and very driven personality, evident even at his young age, was duly noted by his professors and peers. These traits attracted many people to him and he rose to the occasion serving as a mentor in the learning lab, teacher’s assistant, financial aid assistant, and in the Brother 4 Brother Organization. The Passion of Africa award was bestowed upon Darryl by the African Student Union. Darryl graduated in December of 2020 with an Associate of Arts Degree.
Darryl’s passion for entrepreneurship started at an early age. During his high school years, he sold snacks and used these funds to purchase his first car. As gifted as he was with a creative and purposed mindset, Darryl formed his own iPhone repair company and is well known in the Houston area as the iPhone Repair King.
In addition to this, Darryl had established his online iPhone University where he taught students the intricate skills of repairing iPhones. This young entrepreneur had become so financially responsible and successful that others came to him seeking financial literacy.
Darryl was blessed with caring and nurturing parents, loving siblings and a supportive family environment. He was a pride and joy to his parents and a true brother and friend to his siblings. He was the best role model anyone could ask for. To everyone that knew Darryl, he was a joy bringer, a very caring and loving young man. He had a great sense of humor and was always there for others. He had a unique way of making everyone smile or laugh and would bring you cheer even in your most difficult moments. He wanted everyone to excel and succeed in life.
Darryl enjoyed reading, dancing, singing, and cooking. He also enjoyed fitness, football and soccer, along with writing positive affirmations and giving advice. He had great plans for the future and a daily goal of positively impacting lives, leaving people in a better place than when he first met them.
Darryl has left us with a legacy of Love, Hope, Inspiration, and Purpose that will pave the way for people to follow.
