Irene (Lambert) Tapper

Predeceased by her loving husband, Andrew Tapper. Loving mother to Lee Robinson (late Ray Robinson), Kim Tapper (Linda Tapper). Cherished grandmother of Katie (Lane McMurtry), Darleen (Sonny Brownlee), Kelly, David, Jenn (Rob Osborn), Mike (Kristy Tapper). Beloved great grandmother to Maddie, Maisey, Karlee-Rae, Bree, Andrew, Abby, Jadon, Ethan, Ethan R.

Irene was the last of eight siblings.

Irene was born and raised in a small town in Saskatchewan. She met her husband while working in an RCAF canteen in Regina. He went to war, but when he returned, they married almost instantly. They moved to Timmins Ontario, where their two children were born, Kim and Lee. They would later move to Aylmer, Quebec to raise their family.

Irene had a fierce work ethic, which she would always say is what kept her strong for so many years. At the age of 45 she returned to school to become a nursing assistant. She worked at the grace hospital for eight wonderful years.

Some of Irene’s favorite things to do were to bake cookies, watch NASCAR and sit in the sun, but most of all it was family. To Irene family was everything and she devoted her life to it. She was happiest when the family was all together. She will be greatly, greatly missed.

Celebration of life will be held on November 30th, 2024 at New Hope Christian Fellowship church located at 586 Main St., Shawville Quebec with visitation from 11am - 1pm followed by a service at 1pm. There will be a light lunch to follow.
